South Downs National Park
Warenne Barn is situated in a stunning position at the foot of Wolstonbury Hill in the South Downs National Park near Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex. The local area is packed with interest and outstanding natural beauty. The South Downs National Park is the tenth and newest National Park to be designated in England, and covers 160 km of rolling chalk downland from Winchester in Hampshire to the white chalk cliffs of Beachy Head, near Eastbourne.

The South Downs Way long-distance trail runs within a mile of Warenne Barn on the other (south) side of the beautiful Wolstonbury Hill. Just to the west are Saddlescombe, Newtimber Hill and Devil's Dyke, and to the east are Ditchling Beacon, highest point of the South Downs, and the enchanting "Jack and Jill" windmills. - Cycling:
The countryside close to Warenne Barn is perfect for cycling, whether it is the off-road challenge of the South Downs Way or the country lanes running under the South Downs or into the Weald. We have cycle storage available, and cycle hire can be arranged. - Horseriding:

Warenne Barn is just a few miles from the South coast, the sea and Brighton Marina, with abundant opportunities for watersports of all kinds. Local Villages and Amenities
Our local villages of Hurstpierpoint and Hassocks are 1.5 miles away and are well served with shops, banks and usual businesses. The railway station at Hassocks is on the London to Brighton mainline with frequent services to London (50 minutes), Gatwick Airport (25 minutes) and Brighton (15 minutes).
Ditchling is just two miles away and is a quaint, artisan village with coffee shops, crafts and antiques.
Eating Out
Just an easy half-mile stroll from the Barn is the Jack and Jill Inn. In addition there are many pubs, restaurants and cafés in our neighbouring villages.
